Eco-Justice Center

The Eco-Justice Center is located on a 15-acre site in north Racine. The property includes woodland, wetland, pasture, and garden land. A number of historic farm buildings are located on site that are used to store equipment and house some of the domestic animals raised by the sisters who live and work at the Center. We also have a hermitage, labyrinth, medicine wheel garden, hoop house and greenhouse.

The Eco-Justice Center is dedicated to environmental education and care of Earth in the context of community, contemplation, creativity, and cultivation.

The Eco-Justice Center provides education programs for adults and youth related to the environment and sustainable living. Three weeks of "Ecology Camp at the Farm" in July offer day- camp experiences for youth. Teen volunteer camps in August give youth the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about organic food production.

The Eco-Justice Center is open year- round to visitors and volunteers. Programs and tours are designed to fit the needs of school, church, scout, and civic groups. The Center is a model for the use of renewable energy through its solar photovoltaic panel
